Mohammadi Mosque and Imambargah are integral components of Anjuman-e-Mohammadi catering to the religious and spiritual needs of the Community.
Dedicated to the spiritual development of our community, our highly learned religious scholars emphasize the need to inculcate high moral and ethical standards, transparency and accountability among our people. Any discussion or publication on controversial issues or matters causing embarrassment to other sects or religions is prohibited.
Mohammadi Mosque has recently been transformed into a stately and awe-inspiring building with a pristine white exterior, a massive central dome and a 160-foot minaret at the rear. It stands proudly at a centrally located site at Hali Road, Gulberg III, Lahore. Comprising four floors (including a basement) the overall total built area including Mohammadi Imambargah is around 85,000 square feet. It can accommodate more than 5,000 Nimazis indoors at any given time, with an additional outdoor capacity of about 1,000 – an increase from its earlier capacity of a total of 500. For Majalis, seating capacity is about 10,000 attendees. The structure exudes Islamic culture in its finest architectural sophistication and considered a monument and a reference point in the area. Activities at the Mohammadi Mosque include Daily prayers, Friday prayers, Eid prayers and Moharram and other Majalises and Milads to accommodate bigger congregational gatherings. Allied facilities include (both indoor and outdoor) security, washrooms, drinking water points, wadu areas and shoe racks with sound systems and back-up generators.
The Mohammadi Imambargah is an independent building structure and has an indoor seating capacity of about 700 attendees with additional outdoor seating capacity of over 1,000 attendees. The Imamabargah facility is available to the community at large to hold Majalises and Milads subject to prior arrangements made with the Anjuman’s office.
Events organized at the Imambargah include Ladies Majalises and Milads, Wiladat as well as Shahadat of all Aima A.S., along with the Eid e Ghaddir, and Eid e Mubahila. In addition, Nikah ceremonies, Qul, Chehlum and Barsi of near and dear ones of Momineen are held from time to time, as sponsored by the community members. Plans are afoot to extend the Imambargah seating capacity and provide greater comfort to visitors.
Nikah support, funeral rites, birth rituals, Istikhara guidance, and Qurbani assistance with care, authenticity, and Shia compliance.

Advice on Islamic rules and regulations for marriage, availability of necessary Nikah documentation, recommending or arranging the Imam, assistance in Nikah registration and formalities are provided. Arrangements can also be made for holding of Nikah ceremony, if required. In case of a poor candidate unable to finance the marriage ceremony, subject to proper due diligence and authentication, Anjuman may assist in providing financial assistance as appropriate.

Birth Rituals: Advice and guidance is provided on rites, rituals and supplications for a newborn under Shia Islam in line with the teachings and Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Ahl-e-Bayt (AS). Scholarly advice on naming the newborn girls and boys is also provided. Arrangements are also made to assist the parents or family members in birth rites and rituals for the new born such as Adhan, Duas, Aqiqah, circumcision, shaving of the head etc.

For persons seeking divine guidance from Allah on various personal matters, Istikhara is performed by expert scholars in accordance with the rules and methodology prescribed under Shia Islamic law and code of ethics.

Advice on the selection and/or arrangement of animals for Eid-ul-Adha, Sadqa and/or Aqiqah, and their slaughter according to the rules prescribed under Shia Islam, is provided at Mohammadi Mosque. The process is carried out following best practices of hygiene, cleanliness and safety, under all circumstances.

Advice and arrangements for funeral and burial rites in accordance with Shia Islamic methodology are provided at the Mohammadi Mosque. Scholars, well-versed in the subject, provide advice, guidance and facilitation in planning a funeral so that people can make the right choices for Janazza according to their wishes. An onsite mortuary is available in case the dead body needs to be preserved for some time on request of family members. Arrangements can also be made to assist the family members in Ghusal-e-Mayyat, Kafan arrangements, funeral prayers, Talqeen, rites and rituals. Care is taken, at all times, that the whole process is conducted with utmost sensitivity, and in accordance with Shia Islamic Sharia and best practices of hygiene, cleanliness, safety and simplicity.
